Ernest G. Cottreau : ウィキペディア英語版 | Ernest G. Cottreau Ernest G. (Ernie) Cottreau (January 28, 1914 – March 7, 2004) was a Nova Scotia businessman, educator and member of the Canadian Senate from 1974 until 1989. Born in Wedgeport, Nova Scotia to an Acadian family, Cottreau was variously a professor at Université Sainte-Anne in Nova Scotia, owner of an automobile dealership, Baker Motors, for fifteen years, a school principal, and a senator and served as president of the province's Liberal association in 1955.〔http://www.parl.gc.ca/37/3/parlbus/chambus/senate/DEB-E/022db_2004-03-23-e.htm?Language=E&Parl=37&Ses=3#4〕 He was named to the Canadian Senate in 1974 by Pierre Trudeau and retired upon reaching the mandatory retirement age of 75 in 1989.
